Who:   Representatives of First 5 of Alameda County, the Tri-Valley
       Community Foundation, Washington Mutual, and representatives
       from the eight family child care providers and child care
       centers that have agreed to participate in this pilot program.

What:  Kick-off event of a new two-year pilot program designed to help
       improve the quality of care at family-run child care centers in
       Alameda County

Where: Shaklee World Headquarters (Tahoe Room), 4747 Willow Road in
       Pleasanton.

When:  Friday, January 27, 2006, 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Why:   Quality Counts combines program assessment, consultation,
       financial and technical assistance to produce measurable
       improvements in childcare quality, which parents, childcare
       providers, and experts in the field have identified as a top
       concern. Washington Mutual is providing the financial
       assistance to allow the program to operate in Eastern Alameda
       County.
