''Puppetry of the Penis'' to Tour Northern California: Santa Cruz, Redwood City, Fresno & Sacramento; Media Deems Ads ''Too Risque''.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 30, 2002

After a highly successful Northern California premiere at San Francisco's Theatre on the Square in October, producers of the international comedy hit PUPPETRY OF THE PENIS Puppetry of the Penis is a performance show that first started in 1997 as a live show by David 'Friendy' Friend, Simon Morley at the 1998 Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Australia.  announced today that the show will embark on a tour of Northern California in 2003. The show, which has been a smash success and received rave reviews from around the world, will play Santa Cruz, Redwood City, Fresno and Sacramento in January and February.

But some in the media don't get the joke. The Sacramento, Modesto and Fresno Bee newspapers, as well as the Monterey County Herald, have all refused to accept paid print advertising for the tour dates.
