''No Child Left on the Side'' Campaign Launches to Make All Playgrounds Barrier-Free; Playskool and GameTime Team up with Boundless Playgrounds to Make a Difference in Children's Lives.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Boundless Playgrounds (www.boundlessplaygrounds.org) has teamed up with Hasbro Inc.'s (NYSE:HAS) Playskool brand and GameTime, a playground equipment manufacturer, and they plan to award one community a Boundless(TM) playground worth up to $300,000 in the "Playskool Win a BOUNDLESS Playground Essay Contest."

The goal of the contest, which runs through November 30, 2006, is to raise awareness that playgrounds should not exclude children with disabilities - instead, playgrounds can and should be places where everyone is included in the fun. Participants can enter the contest by submitting an original essay between 500 and 750 words nominating a specific site in their community to receive a BOUNDLESS playground. July 26th is the 16th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the goal of which was to give all Americans equal opportunities to participate in society. And because there is still more to be done to address universal access on playgrounds, the National Center for Boundless Playgrounds is joining with numerous partners to launch a national initiative to encourage more communities to build barrier-free playgrounds where children with and without disabilities can play and learn together.

"We are opening the 100th BOUNDLESS playground this summer, yet so many people are unaware of the great number of children still excluded from a simple joy most of us take for granted - playing with friends and family on a playground," said Amy Jaffe Barzach, executive director/co-founder of Boundless Playgrounds. "We want to achieve the vision of the ADA, to ensure that ALL children and adults, with and without disabilities, can experience the fun and learning that playgrounds offer. Our dream is to one day have all playgrounds across the nation be barrier-free, so no child is left on the sidelines watching others play. This contest, made possible through the generosity of Playskool and GameTime, will help us reach parents and communities who want the best for their children and would never want anyone excluded from fun or play."

It was more than a decade ago that Amy Jaffe Barzach lost her 9-month-old son to spinal muscular atrophy and decided to build a universally accessible playground, in his memory. His family imagined that in Jonathan's dreams playgrounds would be places where children of all abilities could celebrate life. The special playground built in Jonathan's memory became the inspiration that led to the National Center for Boundless Playgrounds. As a founding national sponsor, Hasbro has been the organization's most ardent supporter; the company has donated more than $1 million, helped establish a national resource center, launched an educational campaign, helped develop BOUNDLESS playgrounds in 24 disadvantaged communities across the country and sponsored two signature playgrounds in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
