''Lifelike'' Wins Platinum at Houston International Film Festival.MADISON, Wis. -- It was announced on Saturday that Wisconsin-native John Besmer's short film, "Lifelike" was awarded a Platinum Remi at the 38th annual Worldfest - Houston International Film Festival. The award comes on the heels of the 2005 Wisconsin Film Festival where the film was recognized as Best Narrative Short. "Lifelike" is a 19-minute drama about an aging taxidermist in a small Wisconsin town.
