''Help Whip Cancer'' This May with The Pampered Chef.

ADDISON, Ill. -- Recognizing that one in seven women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, The Pampered Chef has teamed up with the American Cancer Society(R) for the sixth year in a row to "Help Whip Cancer."

According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women after nonmelanoma skin cancers, and is the second leading cause of cancer death in women in the United States. The Society estimates there will be 211,240 new cases of invasive breast cancer diagnosed in the United States this year.

The Pampered Chef created the Help Whip Cancer campaign to increase awareness of the importance of early detection and to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer.

From May 1-31, 2005, you can help raise funds by:

--Purchasing any of the following special Help Whip Cancer products: Mini Stainless Steel Whisk for $9.50, Microfiber Towel for $8.50, pink Can Strainer for $4.00 or a set of two Help Whip Clips for $5.00. The Society will receive $1.00 for each product purchased.

--Hosting a Help Whip Cancer Pampered Chef Kitchen Show Fund-raiser. The Society will receive a percentage of sales of products at this in-home cooking demonstration. For demonstrations with sales below $600, the Society will receive 10 percent and 15 percent from those above $600. Hosts of Pampered Chef Kitchen Shows held in May also can purchase a special pink Family-Size Quick-Stir Pitcher for $6.50 or Quick-Stir Pitcher for $5.25. For each pitcher purchased, the Society will receive $1.00.

That is why we are so passionate about raising funds for these initiatives through our Help Whip Cancer campaign."

In May 2004, Bridget Nickel, an independent Pampered Chef Kitchen Consultant from Illinois, held a Help Whip Cancer Fund-raiser Kitchen Show in honor of her mother-in-law, Barbara Nickel. Barbara was already a nine-year breast cancer survivor when in August 2003 she was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer.

"I am grateful for The Pampered Chef and the Help Whip Cancer campaign," says Bridget. "Thirty-five people attended my fund-raiser and 35 outside orders were placed from people who were not able to attend. That wonderful level of participation raised a lot of funds for the campaign. While Barbara attends monthly chemotherapy, she's comforted in knowing this fund-raiser opened the eyes of many about how they could make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. It was a true testament to the unconditional love, support and friendship that so many people feel for my mother-in-law and her family."

Since 2000, The Pampered Chef has raised more than $3.3 million for the American Cancer Society's education and early detection programs.
