''Dead Beat'' Movie Sells Executive Producer Credit Rights on eBay.

NEW YORK -- Can an independent film raise funds in 10 days or less? This is the challenge facing Alex Raskin and his new short film, "Dead Beat". The screening date of July 27th is approaching, but as of now PrimeHD.com, the production company, may not be able to afford the event.

Produced in High Definition using state-of-the-art equipment custom-built by Alex Raskin, an authority on applied HD filmmaking, this brilliant short is called "Dead Beat." (You have to watch it to see why.) Ironically it may fold financially, true to the apparent meaning of its name. The company is hoping an innovative approach to financing will be the solution.

As a final fundraising effort, Prime HD is selling the executive production rights to "Dead Beat" on eBay in exchange for a donation. The production team hopes for a donation sufficient to financially sustain the project.

Only one thing is for sure - filmmaking will continue despite all financial difficulties. Production companies may have to seek alternative and unconventional forms of financing.
