`Taste of' winners announced.PRINCETON - During the recent Taste of Wachusett, visitors voted for their favorite foods from 42 Wachusett area vendors. The winners are: Best Beverage: Still River Winery, Harvard, apple ice wine. Runner up was Polar Beverages. Job Corps, Ayer, fried goat cheese triangles, topped with a caramel, beef and mushroom sauce. Runner-up was Sterling National Country Club. Best Soup, Chowder or Chili: Sterling National Country Club, a lobster, corn and chorizo cho·ri·zo n. pl. cho·ri·zos A very spicy pork sausage seasoned especially with garlic. [Spanish.] Noun 1. chowder. Runner-up was King Phillip Restaurant, Phillipston. Best Entree: Wachusett Mountain, Princeton, medallions of stuffed pork with red pepper aioli ai·o·li n. A rich sauce of crushed garlic, egg yolks, lemon juice, and olive oil. [Provençal : ai, garlic (from Latin allium) + oli, oil (from Latin oleum . Runner-up was Lidio's Restaurant, Leominster. Best Dessert: Deershorn Farm, Lancaster, various fruit pies. Runner up was Four Points by Sheraton Four Points by Sheraton is Starwood Hotels & Resorts mid-market hotel brand, targeted towards business travelers and small conventions. Four Points was created by the former ITT Sheraton before Starwood acquired the firm in 1998. . Best Booth: 24 Bar and Grille, Gardner.
