After the college season last year, Joh knew she had to make some changes. She played well but not as well as she would have liked. She was going to start making changes following the Women's Amateur Public Links Championship over the summer. Then she won it.

It didn't seem like she needed to overhaul anything.

``I'm going through changes,'' Joh said recently. ``Right after (the NCAA NCAA

``Even at the Public Links, I played pretty well, but the last hole I hit a couple of shots that were floppy. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to switch up everything, but it wasn't just about that one tournament.''

Joh has plenty of hobbies, like learning to play the guitar and piano. She went on a beach run this summer. She's always making a fashion statement on the golf course, wearing loud or interesting outfits.

She had the Colorado media contingent laughing when she won the tournament.

``It's better than being a media monster,'' Joh said. ``It's not something I consciously try to do. I think I'm just easy to talk to and pretty approachable. But I'm scared to death of meeting people for the first time.''

Changing the golf swing is the easy stuff.
