), industry leader in international apparel identification, announced their plans for this year's Bobbin bobbin, implement on which thread is wound, used in sewing, spinning, weaving, and lace making. Sometimes the wooden spools of sewing thread are called bobbins.  Americas Show. Paxar is promoting their global presence and capabilities through the "Paxar World" Tour.

Visitors to the booth (no. 3218) will be able to walk through the world of Paxar; starting with art concept, then experiencing e-commerce, seeing a commitment to global service, as well as the proven Paxar systems, production, and shipping/delivery. The purpose is to promote Paxar's ability to deliver a consistent product anywhere in the world.

"The 'Paxar World' Tour is an all-encompassing theme," said Mike Okosky, Paxar Apparel ID vice president of sales and marketing. "We feel that by enabling our guests to see not only our systems capabilities, but also our printed labels, woven labels, graphics, and their associated technologies, they'll walk away with a better understanding of what Paxar can deliver worldwide."

Paxar is also sponsoring a seminar, as they've done for many years, featuring prominent figures in the world of apparel. This year's seminar, "Managing Variable Information from Your Desktop", highlights the challenges facing contractors, apparel manufacturers and retail companies as label information becomes more variable and resources become more diverse. Several solutions will be discussed including e-commerce, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) The electronic communication of business transactions, such as orders, confirmations and invoices, between organizations. Third parties provide EDI services that enable organizations with different equipment to connect.  (JC Penney), and Global Data Distribution Software (Paxar).
