Alexandra Pauline "Sasha" Cohen (born October 26 1984) is an American figure skater. She is the 2006 U.S. National Champion, 2003 Grand Prix Final Champion, and 2006 Olympic silver medalist.
conceded Saturday to a sense of disappointment in her performance here, but said she intends to compete at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

``If I'm physically able to,'' she said.

``I feel like getting an Olympic medal is an accomplishment in itself, but I definitely am disappointed in my skate,'' Cohen said. ``It'll be kind of a hole, some painful thoughts for a while.

``As a consolation, I know I gave 100 percent. No regrets. And I was proud of a lot of what I did out there. I'm a positive person and I'm going to take away what I can from it and hopefully enjoy the opportunities I have when I get home.''

Cohen led the field after the Turin Games short program, then had two major mistakes in the first minute of the free skate.

After falling on her first jump, and putting both hands down on her second, Cohen skated almost flawlessly, landing five triple jumps, and finished second when most of her closest competitors also committed gaffes.

``I look to the good and, to me, it took so much courage to come back from that, something that I'm really proud of,'' she said.

``It's going to be hard to get back into training, but I want a world title,'' she said.

Cohen said her strained groin and hamstring are not issues.

``Right now, I'm just sleep-deprived,'' she said. ``My body is feeling OK. Having a week off will be good and give my mind a rest so I'll be able to come in and focus on the worlds.''

After earlier declining to speculate on the 2010 Olympics, when she will be 25, the U.S. champion now seems dedicated to making the attempt.

``If I can physically be able to do it,'' she said. ``I love the Olympics and definitely want to be a part of it, but it's so hard to know what your life will be like in four years. All I can do is take it day by day. I really want to; I think I have a lot more to improve, to do. So I definitely want to, right now.''
