`Modern' times on stage.

GARDNER - When Millie Dumont arrives at Theatre at the Mount on Friday, Aug. 10, she will know she's not in Kansas anymore.

Millie Dumont is the lead character in the latest Theatre at the Mount musical, "Thoroughly Modern Millie," the 2002 Tony Award-winning musical.

"We have a spectacular set that will transform the audience back to the 1920s and New York City New York City: see New York, city.

"I just love this cast," said Ms. McRae. "We have fabulous voices and great dancers. We're going to have some fun performances."

Musical direction is being handled by David Twiss, with choreography by Nicole Couture and Chris Casello. Set design is being done by David Arsenault.

Theatre at the Mount presents "Thoroughly Modern Millie" for six performances starting Friday, Aug. 10. Performances will be at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 10 and 11; 17 and 18 and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12 and 19. All performances are at the auditorium, Mount Wachusett Community College Mount Wachusett Community College is a two-year community college in Gardner, Massachusetts. It offers associate degrees as well as a transfer program for students to earn credits for transfer to other colleges. , 444 Green St. Tickets are $20 for the evening performances; $18 for the matinees.
