`Messages' Delivered From Michael Bolton & Yanni's Female Vocalist, Vann Johnson, With Launch of New Solo Debut CD At Yule Jam '99 On November 7.

HOLLYWOOD--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Oct. 14, 1999--

Music is the Message: Sunday, Nov. 7, 5-11 p.m. at The Hollywood Palladium, Yule Jam '99 -- a charity concert benefit for WOMB (National Society of Men & Women of the Music Business) and Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation -- will bring music back into the Los Angeles Unified School District with a first-annual instrument drive.

Music's 'messenger,' singer/songwriter, Vann Johnson, will be showcasing music from her new CD "Messages."

Johnson is best-known for her multi-continent tour with renowned World Music Maestro, Yanni. With the promotion of his Platinum album, "Tribute" which features Vann (to date, this album continues to fly off the shelves and has sold 1,182,745 copies nationwide), Yanni opened the musical door for Vann to achieve the historical milestone of performing his first-ever song with lyrics, "Love Is All," at the Forbidden City in China and India's Taj Mahal.

Johnson, who has also toured with R&B balladeer Michael Bolton has a 'message' for all in attendance in support of this special event which benefits young people and the arts.

In one of the songs off her 10-tune compilation CD, called "Rules Are Made To Be Broken" -- Johnson croons this message: "You'll face tough decisions, choices and opinions. Be strong, so strong. Never lose your focus, though the road seems hopeless when you're facing the unknown. There's a reason for your being. You were chosen from the start, as you stand and make a difference, you'll inspire hearts..."

Vann Johnson will perform at 9 p.m.

Yule Jam `99's additional line-up includes: Host: E! Entertainment Television's Host of Coming Attractions, Todd Newton; Jennifer York of KTLA Morning News' Skycam 5 with her jazz band, "The York Trio"; Rebecca Timmons, Canadian singer/songwriter (who has opened for Howard Jones' U.S. Tour, John Cale of Velvet Underground & Donovan) debuts cuts from her new album, "The Turing Event;" Jon Ernst, Musical Director for FX Networks' "The X Show", composer of VH1's "Behind The Music Series"; Tessa, 12 year old, upcoming young pop music diva, with her All New Millennium re-release of Magic Records' producer Steve McCarthy's Brady Bunch retro tune, "It's A Sunshine Day"; and many other hot surprise artists who will grace the stage all night.
