`MOUSETRAP' OPENS NEW SEASON REPERTORY EAST PLAYHOUSE HOPES CHRISTIE SHOW WILL CATCH AUDIENCES.

NEWHALL - Agatha Christie's ``The Mousetrap'' will open Friday at the Repertory East Playhouse, continuing the theater's inaugural season.

The show will be presented at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through Oct. 23.

``The Mousetrap'' is a typical ``whodunit'' mystery with eight people snowed in at a guest house: Mollie mollie or molly, New World fish of the genus Mollienesia, in the same family as the guppy (see killifish). Mollies are found from the E and central United States to Argentina.  and Giles Ralston, the owners; four invited guests, each with eccentric characteristics; the unexpected guest, who turns up after his car overturns in the snowstorm; and, finally, a skiing detective.

Once everyone has arrived it is not long before there is a murder and the detective assembles the guests and interrogates them one-by-one.

``This show has intrigued and entertained audiences all over the world for over 50 years,'' said Ovington Michael Owston, the Rep's co-producing artistic director. ``I am sure our audiences will love coming out for one of the most famous murder mysteries in history.''

The Rep's version of ``The Mousetrap'' will be directed by Jason Goldberg. The play boasts a diverse cast of both local talent and actors from the San Fernando Valley San Fernando Valley

Playing Mollie and Giles, the caretakers of Monkswell Manor, are Nicole White Nicole White can refer to:

 and Michael Silver; detective Sgt. Trotter will be played by Adam Fox Canon Adam Fox (1883 – 1977) was the Dean of Divinity at C.S. Lewis's Magdalen College, Oxford. Wren designed 53 London churches, including St Paul's Cathedral, as well as many secular buildings of note. ; Bill Quinn portrays the unexpected guest, Paravicini; and Gaynor Kelly, Brent Christianson and Kristen Paige are Mrs. Boyle, Major Metcalf and Miss Casewell, respectively.

Tickets to ``The Mousetrap'' are $16 for adults and $14 for children under 18 and adults over 62. Season tickets for general admission seating are still available. This show is appropriate for ages 13 and over.
