`JURASSIC'-SAURUS DETERMINUS : IN QUEST TO BE OUR GUEST COME STORIES OF HEART, RHYME, OUTRIGHT FLATTERY.

Frankly, some of you make us a little nervous. Anybody can see ``Jurassic Park'' two, maybe even three or four times.

But 40? That's how often Brad Stone Brad Stone may refer to:
  • Brad Stone (journalist)
  • Brad Stone (porn star)
has watched Steven Spielberg's jumbo lizard saga. Five times in movie theaters - ``I even saw it in Alaska,'' he says - and the rest on video. Aren't there 12-step programs for this kind of thing?

As it turns out, the West Hills 17-year-old isn't so odd. When we put out a call for readers to test-drive Universal Studios' new Jurassic Park ride, we found that the Los Angeles basin The Los Angeles Basin is the coastal sediment-filled plain located between the peninsular and transverse ranges in southern California in the United States containing the central part of the city of Los Angeles as well as its southern and southeastern suburbs (both in Los Angeles  is crawling with ardent dino-philes. And we don't mean Barney.

We asked you to phone in and tell us why you belonged on today's sneak-preview outing. More than 90 of you showered us with urgent pleas, true confessions True Confessions was a magazine published by Fawcett Publications, beginning in 1922. With a cover price of 25 cents, the front cover of the October, 1922, issue heralded, "Our Thousand Dollar Prize Winner—'All Hell Broke Loose'. , poems and, in one case, the best imitation we've ever heard of a dilophosaurus Dilophosaurus was a theropod dinosaur from the Early Jurassic Period. The name is pronounced /daɪ'lɒ.fʊ.sʊə(ɹ). . (Unfortunately, the talented caller forgot to leave his name and phone number.)

Straight-from-the-heart stories got our attention. Shannon Papa, a sixth-grader at Jordan Middle School David Starr Jordan Middle School is a middle school in Palo Alto, California. Currently in attendance are approximately 1000 students from grades 6 through 8. The school is named after David Starr Jordan, who was the first president of Stanford University.  in Burbank, has spent the past four months helping take care of her father, who was injured in a motorcycle accident. Her mother, Irene, thought Shannon needed to have some fun.

Outright flattery worked for Caroline Squires, a Santa Clarita Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  seventh-grader who informed us that her parents have been Daily News subscribers for 22 years. It also helped that her dad's a paleontologist at California State University, Northridge CSUN offers a variety of programs leading to bachelor's degrees in 61 fields and master's degrees in 42 fields. The university has over 150,000 alumni. It's also home to a summer musical theater/theater program known as TADW (TeenAge Drama Workshop) that leads teenagers through an .

It wasn't easy picking just 10 of you to journey with us into the heart of darkest Universal City today to critique the ride. Anyway, meet the winners, and be sure to read Sunday's Daily News to get their 5 cents' worth on the $100 million spectacle.
