The movie, based on the popular books by J.K. Rowling, took in an additional $7.7 million Tuesday to tie the industry record set in 1999 by ``Star Wars: Episode One - The Phantom Menace MENACE. A threat; a declaration of an intention to cause evil to happen to another.

``I think it's an incredible achievement no matter how you slice it,'' said Paul Dergarabedian, president of the box office tracking firm Exhibitor Relations. ``This is very (rare) when you have a film able to achieve in less than a week what a studio would be happy to see their film gross over its entire run.''

Dergarabedian said that even more impressive is the fact that a large portion of the ticket sales for both ``Harry Potter'' and ``The Phantom Menace'' were at children's prices.

``Harry Potter,'' Dergarabedian said, should continue to perform strongly over the five-day Thanksgiving Thanksgiving
