`Great to help idea' young.Byline: Peter Collins A SCHEME to help vulnerable young people in the Vale of Glamorgan Glamorgan (gləmôr`gən) or Glamorganshire (–shĭr', –shər), former county, S Wales. find homes will be officially launched in Barry tomorrow. Scheme has been set up by Llamau Limited, a housing society based in Barry, with funding from the Vale of Glamorgan Council's children's services department. Frances Beecher, Llamau's director, said: ``The scheme is intended to find good quality, supportive accommodation for young care leavers and homeless young people. ``This is a much-needed project, especially in the light of recent legislation that recognises the vulnerability of these young people within our communities. ``The JIGSO (Jigsaw A Web server from the W3C that incorporates advanced features and uses a modular design similar to the Apache Web server. Jigsaw supports HTTP 1.1 and provided an experimental platform for HTTP-NG. See HTTP-NG and Amaya. ) project has a proven track record of helping homeless people of all ages find and maintain suitable accommodation. ``It also operates specialist services for 16 and 17-year-olds, including a family mediation mediation, in law, type of intervention in which the disputing parties accept the offer of a third party to recommend a solution for their controversy. Mediation has long been a part of international law, frequently involving the use of an international commission, service, and is therefore ideally placed to manage this scheme in partnership with the children's services department.'' She said Llamau was currently recruiting people to become friendly lodgings providers. And she added: ``The purpose of the scheme is to provide another accommodation option for young people who would prefer to live in afamily environment before moving onto more independent living.'' Becky Roberts, who is working with the project, said: ``This scheme offers young people the opportunity to develop the skills they will need for independent adult life. ``We are aiming to recruit people from all backgrounds, living in all areas of the Vale of Glamorgan, who have a spare bedroom and are interested in helping a young person. ``In return, these lodgings providers will receive payment, training and support.'' One young person, who did not wish to be named, said: ``When I became homeless, it was a really frightening experience. ``I was put in a hostel, but some of the older people living there gave me a hard time, bullying Bullying Chowne, Parson Stoyle terrorizes parish; kidnaps children.
