Other new initiatives include relationship-building with parents and the community. Mr. Stefanilo is putting out a newsletter to supplement the school Web site and also plans to increase press releases, pamphlets and the use of cable TV to reach the public. The school system's strategic plan also has an objective of developing and maintaining partnerships with community businesses, local colleges and other educational organizations to increase the learning opportunities for staff and students.
