`DEFINED BY THE MUSIC' RILO KILEY SOUNDS OFF ON ITS NAME AND GROWING FAME.Byline: Fred Shuster Music Writer In a few more months, hardly anyone is going to ask the members of indie-pop quartet Rilo Kiley Rilo Kiley is a Los Angeles-based indie rock band. Band members include Jenny Lewis, Blake Sennett, Pierre de Reeder and Jason Boesel. History Fronted by former child actors Lewis (Troop Beverly Hills, The Wizard) and Sennett (Salute Your Shorts , ``Hey, which one's Rilo?'' The group, whose twee, lightly produced folk-pop has struck a nerve with folks who a generation earlier might've been lining up to see the Sundays, will soon embark on 21 arena dates with Coldplay. It appears to be an ideal match. Like their chart-topping touring partners, with whom they share a management company, Rilo Kiley makes oddly uplifting songs of heartbreak, drawing on classic rock and pop. Hushed, lightly picked acoustic-guitar numbers often swell into charming, fully realized pieces. Lyrics are personal meditations that could've been lifted from a bedside diary. ``It started slowly, by people coming to the shows and supporting us and telling their friends,'' says bassist Pierre de Reeder Pierre de Reeder (b. 1973) is the bassist for Rilo Kiley. He attended La Jolla High School, the same high school as Blake Sennett, and joined the band in 1998. When not playing with Rilo Kiley, Pierre works on his solo project. The day's lineup includes John Cale, Jason Falkner and Freda Payne, while Sunday has the New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States.
