Murphy averaged a Southern Section-best 32.3 points and 22 rebounds as a junior. ``In the three years I coached her, she was never really stopped,'' Webb said. ``Teams would put two or three players on her and she would still get her points. That never was more evident than this season, when Murphy played big sister to Montclair Prep's young players. Though her 23.5 points a game were almost 10 points fewer than the season before, Webb said it probably was her finest season overall. ``I got to see her go through the whole maturation maturation /mat·u·ra·tion/ (mach-u-ra´shun) 1. the process of becoming mature. 2. attainment of emotional and intellectual maturity. 3. process in high school,'' he said. ``This was the first year her scoring average didn't go up, but I think she was a better ballplayer.
