The Cornerstone Performing Arts Center A performing arts center, often abbreviated PAC, is a multi-use performance space that can be adapted for use by various types of the performing arts, including dance, music and theatre. is presenting the play "A Christmas Carol" this week, setting it in 1900s Fitchburg. The theater walls of the First Parish Church's Phillips Hall are lined with old Fitchburg buildings, including the Dickinson Building, the former Fitchburg Savings Bank savings bank, financial institution that, until recently, performed only the following functions: receiving savings deposits of individuals, investing them, and providing a modest return to its depositors in the form of interest. "The audience will be sitting in the middle of Main Street, Fitchburg, when Scrooge opens his eyes to the true meaning of Christmas," said Jennifer Potts, director of the play. There will be live music and dance scenes in the play, based on Charles Dickens' first of five Christmas books, according to Ms. Potts. Fitchburg resident and professional storyteller Todd Goodwin portrays the character of Charles Dickens. "He sits at his desk, writing a book, creating the story as it unfolds on stage. His storytelling skills magically go to work as he narrates some of the story and even joins the carolers singing," said Ms. Potts. Mr. Goodwin is the grandson of the founder of Goodwin Shoes in Fitchburg and teaches at the Applewild School. Wil Bouvier Bouvier refers to several things:

Wil brings Scrooge to life and into the hearts of all who see him," said Ms. Potts. Mr. Bouvier studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) is a fully accredited two-year conservatory with campuses located at 120 Madison Avenue in New York City (in a landmark building designed by famed architect Stanford White as the original Colony Club) and 1336 North La Brea Avenue in in New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of , where he was a company actor from 2004 to 2005, and has appeared in many conservatory and off-Broadway productions. Assisting Ms. Potts with this production is the director of music at Christ Church, Brenda Caldwell, who directs the singers. Cornerstone's associate artistic director, Ellen Guglietti, directs the choreography and plays the roles of a ghoul dancer and the Ghost of Christmas Future. Lunenburg resident Anne Giancola, painter and co-founder of Rollstone Studios in Fitchburg, painted the old buildings on the set, with assistance from local historian and archaeologist Joy Contois.
