Authorities said the men were shot during an argument that started after Rodriguez complained about the noise from Flores' car alarm.

The men had been involved in a continuing feud that also involved Flores' two brothers, officials said.

Flores drove off with a brother after the shooting and eluded authorities for six years. He was arrested in December 2000 by the Los Angeles County sheriff's fugitive unit as he was picking up his wife at a Los Angeles bus station, authorities said.
