``Water and Power in the History of Los Angeles'' LADWP's Historical Exhibit Unveiled At Port's O'Call Village.

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 9, 2002

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) today unveiled its "Water and Power in the History of Los Angeles" exhibit during a special viewing at Port's O'Call Village in San Pedro. The exhibit, which is open to the public, commemorates the LADWP's century of service to the residents and businesses of Los Angeles. Admission is free and free parking is available in adjoining lots.

The exhibit chronicles the development of LADWP and provides insight into the role the nation's largest municipal utility has played in the development of the city of Los Angeles. The display features rarely seen effects of William Mulholland and E. F. Scattergood, the fathers of the city's water and power systems, respectively; relief maps of the Los Angeles Aqueduct and Hoover Dam; historical photographs chronicling the construction of the L.A. Aqueduct; early 20th Century tools and equipment; and other extraordinary artifacts.

LADWP's "Water and Power in the History of Los Angeles" exhibit will be at Port's O'Call Village from August 22 through October 6, 2002, daily from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm.
