``Twist In the City'' Multi-City Media Tour Kicks Off in Philadelphia, Providing Answers to Design-Challenged City Dwellers.

Interior designer and author of City Living: Creative Ideas For the New Urban Home (Rockport), Sharne Algotsson, will be on hand at the Twist booth at the Philadelphia Home Design Show, October 16th and 17th, to share her high-end decor secrets with everyday people wondering just how to make their space look fit for a celebrity. It's all part of her "Twist in the City" four-city media tour.

The idea behind "Twist in the City" is to take Sharne's upscale interior design knowledge to the city streets where everyday people have common, in-town living, design dilemmas. The media tour was conceived to answer the cry of suburbanites-turned-urbanites who have found themselves a part of the gentrification gentrification, the rehabilitation and settlement of decaying urban areas by middle- and high-income people. Beginning in the 1970s and 80s, higher-income professionals, drawn by low-cost housing and easier access to downtown business areas, renovated deteriorating  trend, which is taking over in even some of the most unlikely cities in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. .

The media tour is named for the hip furniture, lifestyle and design boutique called Twist in Philadelphia, which she co-owns. It is nestled in the heart of a cozy See COSE.  and trendy district in Center City on Pine Street.
