``The Rugrats Movie'' Tops $100 Million Domestic Box Office.


HOLLYWOOD--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--March 22, 1999--"The Rugrats Movie," a Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies presentation of a Klasky/Csupo Production, crossed the $100 million mark in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  and Canada on Saturday, March 20, becoming the first animated non-Disney film to achieve this milestone, it was announced by Wayne Lewellen, president of distribution for Paramount Pictures' Motion Picture Group.

The domestic box office total to date is $100,130,568.

"We are extremely delighted by the success of `The Rugrats Movie'," said Lewellen. "Its tremendous performance at the box office has launched a new movie franchise which thoroughly complements the highly successful Nickelodeon TV series."
