BURBANK, Calif. -- "The Morning After" and "Rollover," two exciting thrillers from Academy Award(R)-winning actress Jane Fonda, will make their DVD debuts August 30 from Warner Home Video. Special features on "The Morning After" include new commentary by Jane Fonda, director Sidney Lumet ("Dog Day Afternoon," "Network," "The Verdict") and producer Bruce Gilbert. Each title will sell for $19.97 SRP. "Klute," featuring Fonda's Oscar(R)-winning performance, is also available on DVD for $19.97 SRP.

"The Morning After" (1986):

Jane Fonda earned her seventh Oscar nomination as Alex, an alcoholic has-been actress cast in the real-life role of Suspect #1 in a murder investigation. Panicked at the thought of facing the police, Alex runs for it...right into the battered convertible of a washed-up former cop (Jeff Bridges). Their uneasy alliance draws them closer to each other and to the startling truth behind the murder. Director Sidney Lumet draws strong performances from his leads and an ensemble that includes Raul Julia and Kathy Bates.

"Rollover" (1981):

Alan J. Pakula ("Presumed Innocent," "The Pelican Brief"), directs Ms. Fonda for a third time ("Comes a Horseman" and "Klute") in this intense political drama co-starring Kris Kristofferson, Hume Cronyn and Josef Sommer. Fonda plays Lee Winters, a former film star who inherits a multi-million dollar company after her corporate magnate husband is murdered. Winters teams up with banking consultant Hubbell Smith (Kristofferson) in order to find her husband's killer and survive the world of high stakes international finance.

Directed by Alan J. Pakula, "Klute" details the troubled life of a Manhattan prostitute stalked by one of her johns. Call girl Bree Daniels is an aspiring actress who turns tricks for the cash and to be free of emotional bondage. Donald Sutherland plays detective John Klute and Jane Fonda's powerful performance as Bree earned her the 1971 Academy Award for Best Actress.
