 announced today that the surf adventure film, Step Into Liquid in its fifth week topped $2 million in theatrical ticket sales. The documentary film was widened to 83 screens and generated an estimated weekend box office of $345,000. The cumulative box office total as of September 7, 2003 is upped to $2,250,000. The fifth weeks results amount to a $4,157 per theater average, a key measurement for a limited release film.

"Our goal at New Visual was to have the theatrical ticket sales cover the cost to produce the film," said Ray Willenberg, Jr., President of NV Entertainment. "We now believe that we will reach this goal, and that additional profits will come to us through domestic and international theatrical sales, home video and DVD DVD: see digital versatile disc.
