The National Register of Historic Places In celebration of the Historic Theodore Wirth Home and Administrative Building being listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Minneapolis Parks Legacy Society will host a community celebration and tours of the home, Saturday, June 22, from noon to 3:00 p.m., at Lyndale Farmstead Park, 3954 Bryant Ave. South. The event will honor Theodore Wirth, who won national recognition for his public park access policies and coined the phrase, "Parks are for People," and was the city's first park superintendent.
