``NFL 101 for Women'' Event to be Presented By LA Sports & Entertainment Commission.Entertainment Editors/Sports Editors LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 8, 2003 With the professional football season fast approaching, NFL NFL abbr. National Football League NFL (US) n abbr (= National Football League) → Fußball-Nationalliga 101 for Women, an officially sanctioned NFL event, will be presented by the LA Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC) to coach women on the fundamentals of NFL football so they can better understand and further enjoy the game. The event will be held Tuesday, Aug. 12, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in the Grand Ballroom of Hollywood & Highland, 6801 Hollywood Blvd., in Hollywood. According to LASEC President Kathy Schloessman, "Whether you're a diehard fan or just want to enjoy the game, you'll learn something at NFL 101 for Women." The event will be taught by a team of football experts, including the following: -- Dennis Green, ESPN ESPN Entertainment and Sports Programming Network analyst and former head coach and vice president, operations, Minnesota Vikings; -- Pat Haden, Riordan, Lewis & Haden partner and former quarterback, USC An abbreviation for U.S. Code. and Los Angeles Rams; -- Andrea Kremer, ESPN national correspondent; -- Ronnie Lott, NFL Hall of Fame defensive back; -- Amy Trask, Oakland Raiders chief executive; and others to be confirmed. "NFL 101 for Women will be a fun, informative and unique networking opportunity for high-powered women in Los Angeles and will help prepare them for the potential return of NFL football to this city," said Schloessman.
