WHAT: Hundreds of consumers will wait in line this Saturday,
Nov. 20, at midnight to be the first in the world to buy the
highly anticipated new Nintendo DS game system. The Nintendo
DS portable game system features dual screens, touch screen,
voice interface and two forms of wireless connection. The
event will be held in Los Angeles at Universal Citywalk's EB
Games, the largest video game store in the country.
EB Games will be transformed into the "hot spot" with
electrifying live video game play on a giant Jumbotron,
pyrotechnics, a laser light show and a countdown to midnight.
Music from renowned local spin artist "DJ Rap" will entertain
the crowd.
Once the Nintendo DS systems go on sale, consumers can
immediately wirelessly communicate with other DS owners using
the new PictoChat(TM) feature, instantly creating a social
gaming environment.
Retailers expect the Nintendo DS, priced at $149.99, to be one
of the most highly sought-after gifts this holiday season. One
million units of the Nintendo DS are expected to fly off of
store shelves this holiday season.
