The week of events will begin on Monday, Oct. 2, and culminate culminate, in astronomy, the maximum height in the sky reached by a celestial body on a given day. Alzheimer's Week will include "Love and Respect," a fine-arts photography exhibit featuring the work of Jim Hubbard, former White House photographer and three-time Pulitzer Prize Pulitzer Prize

Any of a series of annual prizes awarded by Columbia University for outstanding public service and achievement in American journalism, letters, and music. Fellowships are also awarded.
 nominee. The exhibit opens on Thursday, Oct. 5, at Santa Monica's Highways Gallery, located at 1651 18th St. The event begins at 6:30 p.m.

Hubbard's beautiful black-and-white photographs showcase people with Alzheimer's disease and people whose lives they've touched. Hubbard is currently the creative director of the Venice Arts Mecca. Admission to "Love and Respect" is free to the public.
