``Lil' Iron Chefs'' Competition at Cafe Pescatore; Big Pizza Competition for Little Kids from the Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center.

A[micro] WHAT: 40 children from the Telegraph Hill Neighborhood Center
(Tel-Hi) will battle it out to see who reigns supreme at
the 3rd annual Cafe Pescatore "Lil' Iron Chefs"
competition. The kids, ages 8-11, will be dressed in
Chef's Whites and set on the task of creating a winning
pizza pie. The kids will also be up to their elbows in
flour, learning how to throw pizza dough like a
professional - and dappling in mixology as they create
their own (heavily sugared) Italian sodas, ranging from
Bubble Gum soda to Cotton Candy soda.

A[micro] As the timer goes off, these mini-gourmands will be given
a surprise "Iron Ingredient," which they'll have to use on
their pizza. The Iron Ingredient can be anything from
peanut butter to BBQ sauce to m&m's.

A[micro] The judging is based on Teamwork, Creativity, Taste,
Appearance and Best Use of the Iron Ingredient. A guest
panel of local judges includes the principal from Yick Wo
Elementary School, a San Francisco Giants Vice President
and a local fireman - all community heroes for the
participating children. The winning team will receive a
pizza party for themselves and twelve of their friends.

A[micro] The public and press are welcome to come cheer on the
            teams.
