Known for his many talents, Carter has graced every inch of the entertainment world ranging from nightclubs, Broadway, behind the camera and on both the television and movie screens. Though beginning on Broadway, Carter received his first real break appearing on several episodes of Milton Berle's "Texaco Star Theatre." He later landed his own show self-titled, "The Jack Carter Show."

On stage Carter has entertained audiences in "Mr. Wonderful," "Guys & Dolls" and, most recently, completed a tour as Fagin in the musical "Oliver" and starred in the smash musical "Sugar" with Robert Morse.

Carter's television credits include numerous guest appearances on the "Ed Sullivan Show," "Dean Martin Show," "Andy Williams Show," "Jackie Gleason Show," and many others including the last three episodes of the "Bob Hope Comedy Specials." More recently he has been seen on "Diagnosis Murder," "Touched by an Angel" and "Caroline in the City Caroline in the City is an American sitcom that ran from September 21, 1995, to May 11, 1999, on the NBC television network.
