The announcement was made today by Dan Fellman, president of Domestic Distribution for Warner Bros. Pictures. The film, which opened on Friday, Oct. 29, became Warner Bros.' biggest October opening ever, drawing enthusiastic crowds to the hip remake of William Castle's 1958 classic. A strong promotional campaign that included a scratch-off sweepstakes card and a variety of local-market activities supported the effects-laden horror movie about five strangers who attempt to survive one night in a house that has a hideous past.
