In 1966 he joined the Royal Air Force seemingly on a quest to become a pilot. Due to standards he was unable to meet he was, however, forced to leave the Air Force in search of another direction in life. , the host of "HomeWord," heard weekdays at 10:00 a.m. on 99.5 KKLA-FM, will be the special guest at the 99.5 KKLA-FM Speaker's Series event at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, at First Church of the Nazarene Church of the Nazarene (năz'ərēn`), U.S. Protestant denomination established in 1908 through the union of the Church of the Nazarene, based in California; the Association of Pentecostal Churches, a New England group; and the Holiness  of Pasadena. Presenting "Energizing energizing,
adj giving energy to; revitalizing; rejuvenating.
 Your Family's Spiritual Growth," Dr. Burns will discuss how parents can strengthen and help children develop a vibrant relationship with God. The evening begins with praise and worship music led by the Sonrise Worship Band, featuring Burleigh Drummond, formerly of Ambrosia ambrosia (ămbrō`zhə), in Greek mythology, food and drink with which the Olympian gods preserved their immortality. Extraordinarily fragrant, ambrosia was probably conceived of as a purified and idealized form of honey. . Admission is free but reservations are required.
