``Double Teamed'' a Slam Dunk for Disney Channel; Latest Disney Channel Original Movie Bests Broadcast & Cable Competition with Kids and Tweens.

BURBANK, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Jan. 23, 2002

Buoyed by the strong performance of its latest original movie "Double Teamed," Disney Channel Editing of this page by unregistered or newly registered users is currently disabled due to vandalism.  garnered the top spot in primetime with tweens 9-14 and kids 6-11 (4.5 rating and 4.3 rating, respectively) for the week of 1/14/02-1/20/02. Disney Channel was No. 3 in primetime with households (1.7 rating) and with persons 2+ (1.1 rating).

The premiere airing of "Double Teamed" (1/18/02, 8PM) was the top telecast for the week in both broadcast and cable television with kids 6-11 (10.3 rating), kids 6-14 (9.7 rating) and tweens 9-14 (9.8 rating). The original movie's debut was the top basic cable movie of the week among persons 2+ (2.4 rating).

The debut of "Double Teamed" was the second ranked movie in Disney Channel's history in terms of household delivery (2.8 million) and the third best movie telecast in persons 2+ (4.9 million) and tweens (1.8 million).
