Awards competition. Sponsored by the San Antonio chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is a leading association for public relations professionals. IABC has about 14,000 members in more than 100 chapters in 70 countries. Its headquarters are located in San Francisco, California, United States. (IABC IABC International Association of Business Communicators IABC Indo-Americans for Better Community ), this annual awards event honors the region's most accomplished and effective communication efforts. Entries will be judged by a panel of out-of-town out-of-town adj. 1. Of, relating to, or being from another town or city. 2. Happening in another town or city: the out-of-town début of a new musical. Adj. 1. communications experts. Submissions can be entered in more than two dozen categories covering the spectrum of communications management Communications management is the systematic planning, implementing, monitoring, and revision of all the channels of communication within an organization, and between organizations; it also includes the organization and dissemination of new communication directives connected with an , audio visual, electronic/interactive communication, publications, publications design, special program design, and writing. All entrants receive feedback and comments from the judges, and winning entries earn certificates and recognition from their peers as well. While cost-saving "early bird" entries will be accepted starting February 25, all entries must be postmarked no later than March 11. Previous Bronze Quill award winners have gone on to win regional Silver Quill awards and international Gold Quill awards from IABC. While many communicators vie for these honors few receive them as the competition is fierce. "It is exciting to see the creativity of local communicators through the variety of entries," shared Joy Capps Powell, IABC-San Antonio chapter president. "These awards are a true benchmark of communications success and expertise." Winners will be announced at the 2005 Bronze Quill Awards dinner, to be held Thursday, April 28, at the Plaza Club in San Antonio.
