Dance instructor and choreographer, Yola -- a Bay Area belly dance artist with more than 20 years experience -- will also give a performance to celebrate seven years of teaching local students at Alameda School of Dance. The show will provide a diversity of amazing performances, starting with Yola's Goddess Incarnate choreographies, "Art of Belly Dance," "Fire Dance Veil," "Arabic Groove Dance," and "Shake Me Ya Gamal Drum Solo." Leading California Belly Dance Artists Show Off Talent The Fabulous and Incomparable Jamilla al Wahid Jamilla al Wahid began her dance journey in 1982 and began teaching her first workshop in Middle Eastern Dance The Middle East (Near East, Southwest Asia) has a rich and varied tradition of dance, spanning all of the Arab world, Anatolia, the Caucasus, the Balkans, and also much of Central Asia and South Asia. at the age of 16, and continues to instruct workshops throughout the U.S. Jamilla teaches with her mother, Fatima, at Fatima's Bazaar and Cultural Dance Studio in North Highlands, Calif. Jamilla is one of Yola's favorite performers and has been a role model to her. Jamilla's hot drum solos are in big demand. The Graceful and Gorgeous Shoshanna Shoshanna performs and teaches across the country but makes her home in Arcata, Calif., where she teaches at the Studio of Dance Arts. Shoshanna has been a member of the Humboldt State University Not to be confused with Humboldt University of Berlin. Humboldt State University (HSU) is the northernmost campus of the California State University system, located in Arcata, California. dance faculty since 1998, where she directs her troupe, "The Laialaa Chandani Dance Ensemble." Shoshanna is known for her expressive and lyrical style. The Beautiful and Elegant Sahar Sahar began studying belly dance in 1979, starting her professional career dancing full time in Bay Area restaurants. She has performed extensively throughout the U.S. and Greece. Sahar is internationally recognized as an expert soloist and dance scholar.
