Allison, which may come from a medieval Norman nickname for Alice, meaning "noble type", or from the Irish name "Iseult", meaning "fair lady".
 Leader

I AM writing in disgust at the front page of the Welsh Mirror (March 19).

George Thomas George Thomas may refer to:
  • George Thomas, 1st Viscount Tonypandy (1909–1997), British Labour Party politician, Speaker of the House of Commons
  • George Thomas (baseball) (born 1937), American baseball player
  • George Tomas (valet), valet to U.S. President John F.
was a good man and living in Tonypandy I've only ever heard good about him.

I cannot believe a man is allowed to slur another man's character when he's no longer around to deny or confirm what's been said about him.

And he has the nerve to call himself a friend. I find it incredible the Mirror could print it.

If we can't point the finger legitimately, let's do it though the back door. Mrs Allison Leader Penygraig, Rhondda
