March of Dimes is the name of a United States health charity, whose mission is to improve the health of babies.
 Benefit organized by the 49er Faithful Fan Club. Mike Herkenrath, then a ten year old fan, presented Joe with a football "sandwich" and the wish that it would be the last Joe would "eat" that season. Montana later went on to win the first of four Super Bowls. Herkenrath and The Fan Club became good luck charms.

This year, Herkenrath's 49er Faithful Fan Club is hosting a Joe Montana, Ronnie Lott and Dave Wilcox 2000 49er Hall of Fame Autograph and Photo Session Event. It will be the first event to honor the trio's July 29th Canton induction. Over 2,000 fervent Forty Niner fans are expected to attend.

Fan participants will receive special limited edition signed footballs, pins, and 14 x 11 prints. Montana's numbered hologram See holographic storage.  seal of authenticity will be introduced -- an item that could set the standard for the sports autograph industry.
