: US.)(www.usvo.com) today announced the appointment of Dr. Albert P. Gerheim and Paul Brandon as key members of its Department of Applied Video Data Compression. Dr. Gerheim serves as Director, Advanced Compression Technologies and Brandon serves as Chief Architect of Databasing and Video Information Management.

The appointments are part of USA Video Interactive's planned strategy to maintain and extend the company's technological lead in providing live video streaming and Video on Demand(tm) total solutions for the Internet.

Dr. Gerheim is a theoretical and practical scientist specializing in signal processing, with extensive experience in the mathematics of wavelet processing. He currently is assigned to expand his previous work in image processing to develop a patentable means of enhancing specific compression technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Science Noun 1. It was called Rensselaer Institute from 1837 to 1861. . He comes to USA Video Interactive from Sonalysts, Inc., where he had over 20 years experience with communications and databases as a Principal Analyst and Project Leader. In addition to his responsibilities for databasing and video information management for USA Video Interactive, Mr. Brandon will handle implementation of network topologies and application development in the area of supporting architectures.
