NEW YORK--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Nov. 10, 1999--

USA Networks announced today that Tim Peterman Pe´ter`man

n. 1. A fisherman; - so called after the apostle Peter.
 has been named Chief Financial Officer. In this capacity, Mr. Peterman will oversee financial matters for USA Network and the SCI FI Channel Sci Fi Channel may refer to:
  • Sci Fi Channel (United States), a United States television channel launched in 1992
  • Sci Fi Channel (United Kingdom), a United Kingdom television channel launched in 1995
 effective December 1. He will report to Stephen Brenner, President, Operations, and will be based in New York New York, state, United States

Prior to joining USA Networks, Peterman served as Chief Financial Officer of USA Broadcasting USA Broadcasting was an American media company owned by veteran entertainment industry executive Barry Diller.

USAB dates back to the mid-1990s when Diller purchased Silver King Broadcasting from Lowell W. "Bud" Paxson and Roy Speer.
 where he oversaw financial management for the eighth largest television broadcast group in the nation. Before his tenure at USA Broadcasting, he served as Director of Finance at Sinclair Communications where he helped manage both the acquisitions and operations side of the business.
