[2] SplitTrader.com Announces Investment Opinion.LITTLETON, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 9, 1999-- Gallium arsenide (GaAs) producer announces 2:1 split Kopin Corporation (Nasdaq:KOPN), today announced that their Board of Directors has approved a 2:1 stock split, subject to approval at a shareholder's meeting scheduled for December 15, 1999. A vote will be held to increase the Company's authorized shares from 20 million to 50 million. Upon shareholder approval, shares will be distributed to shareholders of record as of December 20, 1999. The Payable date for the split is set for December 29, 1999. The Company will have approximately 30 million shares outstanding after the split. Kopin Corp. is a manufacturer of gallium arsenide (GaAs) transistor chips, as well as flat panel displays. Their products are used in consumer products such as wireless phones, camcorders and digital cameras. This is the first time the Company has split their stock. Shares of KOPN have risen from just over $10 at the beginning of the year to a present price of $76.
