[2] Schlotzsky's Inc. Announces Appointments to Management Team.AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 30, 1999-- Schlotzsky's Inc. (Nasdaq:BUNZ BUNZ Schlotzsky's Delie (stock symbol) ) today announced the appointment of four new members to its executive management team. Mark A. Moreno has been named Vice President of Restaurant Development. Moreno will be responsible for execution of real estate acquisitions and restaurant development for Schlotzsky's Deli turnkey restaurants. Prior to joining Schlotzsky's, Moreno was with the McDonald's Corporation in the real estate group. He earned his law degree from the University of Iowa Not to be confused with Iowa State University. The first faculty offered instruction at the University in March 1855 to students in the Old Mechanics Building, situated where Seashore Hall is now. In September 1855, the student body numbered 124, of which, 41 were women. and a business degree from DePaul University. Bryan L. Brown, was promoted to Vice President, Design and Construction with responsibility for overall architectural design of Schlotzsky's Deli restaurants. Brown will also oversee the construction management team and be responsible for restaurant equipment purchasing programs. He previously worked for Tricon Global Restaurants as senior project manager, Pizza Hut as a design architect and BSW International. Brown earned a degree in architecture from Oklahoma State University Oklahoma State University, at Stillwater; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered 1890, opened 1891 as Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College, renamed 1957. . Robert Hernandez was appointed Director of Franchise Finance. He will manage financial relationships for Schlotzsky's turnkey program and act as a liaison between Schlotzsky's franchisees and third-party lenders. With 16 years experience in the banking industry, Hernandez previously worked for Texas Commerce Bank, now known as Chase Manhattan Bank The Chase Manhattan Bank, now part of JPMorgan Chase, was formed by the merger of the Chase National Bank and the Bank of the Manhattan Company in 1955. The bank is headquartered in New York City. , where he was assistant vice president, regional/corporate banking group. Hernandez received an MBA from St. Edward's University

Cates was promoted to Vice President of Franchise Operations. Cates will be responsible for overseeing franchising licensing and franchise field services. She is a graduate of Texas Woman's University Texas Woman's University, main campus at Denton; state supported; primarily for women; est. 1901. It is the largest state-supported university for women in the country. with a degree in business education.
