NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 20, 2000

Internet venture capital firm NetCentric Partners today announced that it has started to raise a private $200 million Internet investment fund. The announcement follows NetCentric Partners' recent strategic investments of nearly $16 million in leading business-to-business, infrastructure, and technology enabling companies.

NetCentric Partners' most recent investments were in MicroCast, the highest capacity Internet video Video material obtained from the Internet. This is the second round of investing in MicroCast in which NetCentric Partners participated. In a related development, David Capobianco, a Managing Partner of NetCentric Partners has agreed to join MicroCast's Board of Directors. Separately, NetCentric Partners invested $5.1 million in ci4net.com as part of a total $60 million strategic equity round.
