MORRISTOWN, NJ--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 15, 1999--

Michael B. Roche will assume customer service responsibilities for GPU GPU: see secret police.

Roche's additional responsibilities include the operation of customer call centers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and servicing customers through account representatives and activities such as meter reading and billing.

It was announced Dec. 8 that Douglas J. Howe would leave the position of Customer Service vice president January 31 to assume the position of vice president-regulatory policy for GPU Service, Inc. Howe and Roche will work together through a transition period until then.

An employee of GPU companies since 1974, Roche has extensive experience in the areas of environmental affairs and electric generation and transmission. Before assuming his current position, Roche was vice president and director at the Oyster Creek Oyster Creek may refer to:
