[0] TODAY'S PLAYOFF CAPSULES GIRLS' BASKETBALL.

All games at 7:30 p.m.

Division I-AA

RIO MESA (11-15) AT LEUZINGER

Outlook: Rio Mesa is one of the feel good stories of the season. After losing 16 of their final 17 games last year, the Spartans managed a third- place finish in the Pacific View League under first-year coach Paul Needham.

Keep an eye on: Rio Mesa guard Maribel Ambriz. The senior is averaging 10.5 points and 4.2 assists. Ambriz will need a big game against Leuzinger. The Olympians shared the Ocean League championship.

Directions: Take the 405 Freeway south and exit at Rosecrans. Go east for three miles. The school is located at 4118 West Rosecrans Ave.

Division I-A

Keep an eye on: Royal senior forward Kristen Galbreath. After averaging 16 points last year, Galbreath has been the Highlanders' top performer again. She's averaging 18.4 points and 7.4 rebounds.

Directions: Take the 60 Freeway East and exit at Brea Canyon, traveling north. Turn left on Valley and then right on Pierre Road. The school is located at 400 North Pierre Road.

Outlook: Another difficult assignment for a Marmonte League team. Simi Valley shared second place with Royal and Agoura and will travel to meet a Santa Barbara team that played in a Channel League featuring top teams Buena and Ventura.

Keep an eye on: Simi Valley senior Elise Metcalf and sophomore guard Teresa Cooper. Metcalf is averaging 15.3 points and Cooper 13.7 to give the Pioneers a solid inside-outside combination offensively. Metcalf is pulling down 8.3 rebounds per game.

Directions: Take the 101 Freeway north and exit at Milpas. Turn right at Anapamu Street. School is located at 700 East Anapamu.

RIGHETTI (15-10) AT CAMARILLO Camarillo (kă'mərē`yō), city (1990 pop. 52,303), Ventura co., S Calif.; inc. 1964. It is the center of a fertile farm area where citrus fruits and flowers are grown.  (15-9)

Outlook: This should be an even matchup. Camarillo finished behind Oxnard in the Pacific View League and was competitive against Channel League co-champion Ventura in a 60-50 loss last week.

Keep an eye on: Camarillo forward Lauren Ferreria. Along with Gillian Lilich, Ferreria is a key to the Scorpions' success. She's averaging 12.8 points and 8.1 rebounds.
