WHAT: Teen dance-pop singer Mandy Moore is scheduled to sign
autographs for her local fans on Sunday, June 24, 2001.
WHO: Teen singer, Mandy Moore, hails from Orlando, FL, and
discovered her interest in signing and acting at the age of 9.
Through numerous appearances singing "The Star Spangled
Banner" at local sporting events in Orlando, she became known
as the "National Anthem Girl." This experience proved her to
be a young professional in the recording studio.
At the age of 15 she signed with Sony who released her debut
album, So Real, in 1999, I Wanna Be With You in 2001, and a
follow up self-titled album in 2001. She is also a
spokesperson for Neutrogena and appears in their commercials
and print ads.
Mandy Moore's albums, So Real, and I Wanna Be With You, each
went platinum. So Real, produced the hit song "Candy," which
was re-mixed on her later album, I Wanna Be With You. Mandy
Moore's new self-titled album is slated to debut in stores in
June 19, 2001.
