[0] ODOM RETURNS, AND HASN'T MISSED A STEP CLIPPERS 88, PHILA. 77.

Byline: Sean Kearns Staff Writer

Lamar Odom Lamar Joseph Odom (born November 6 1979, in South Jamaica, Queens, New York) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays power forward (also plays both forward spots and is a "point-forward") for the National Basketball Association's Los Angeles Lakers.  was home again.

He joked with his teammates that he was going to score 55 points, much as Michael Jordan This article is about the former basketball player. For other uses, see Michael Jordan (disambiguation).

. He also said it felt more like the first game of his career, a 30-point game against Seattle.

But while Odom didn't quite meet those numbers, he did do well enough.

Playing his first game back after a league suspension for violating a drug policy, Odom scored 25 points in 46 minutes as the Clippers scored an 88-77 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at Staples Center This articlearticle or section has multiple issues:

.

``Right now, I'm looking forward getting back into it and playing again,'' Odom said. ``I just want to not focus on coming back but focus on winning the game again.''

Odom missed the last five games because of the suspension. The Clippers went 1-4 over the stretch, with three of the losses blowouts against Dallas, San Antonio and Utah.

But it wasn't Odom's offense that was the difference. It was the Clippers' defense. The 76ers held the Clippers to two field goals over the last four minutes. But the Clippers held Philadelphia to no points over the last 2:54.

At the final buzzer, Odom gave a hard handclap hand·clap

The 76ers were without their leading scorer - and the All-Star-game MVP (Multimedia Video Processor) A high-speed DSP chip from Texas Instruments, introduced in 1994. Also missing was 76ers coach Larry Brown, who is ailing.

The Clippers had injury problems of their own. Corey Maggette sat out with a sprained left ankle. X-rays taken on Tuesday came back negative. Jeff McInnis underwent treatment the entire day for tendinitis in his left knee but showed no impact of the injury, as his first points came on a rare two-handed dunk.

While the 76ers are known for their defense, it was the Clippers' defense that came through, although the team nearly came unraveled after leading 84-72 late in the fourth quarter.
