Soccer: The Boys under-16 team of the Valley United Soccer Club continued its winning streak Noun 1. winning streak - a streak of wins

, raising its record to 7-0 by defeating Palmdale Youth Soccer Club-Heat 6-0, Saturday in Palmdale. United is playing up to the Boys under-17 bracket for the league season. Juan Vega scored the first goal, in the third minute, on a throw in from Eric Louzil. Next, Renzo Della Ripa put one in the net on an assist by Derek Frias, for a 2-0 halftime lead. Second-half goals were made by Jared Weinryt, Della Ripa, Kris Pardo and Rick Zeller. Assists were from Louzil (2) and Noah Lowman. Matt Jordan Matt Jordan (born October 13, 1975 in Aurora, Colorado) is an American soccer goalkeeper who currently plays for the Montreal Impact of USL First Division.

Jordan graduated from Overland High School in Aurora,
 and Miguel Navarro earned the shutout in goal. Alex Trochez and Ali Zamani contributed on defense, and Jacob Boeding on offense. Matt Bray played midfield in his first game back since knee surgery following his injury in the first game of the season. Johann Perez didn't play because he was sitting out his suspension for two yellow cards in the previous game.

 senior and cross country team captain, has been selected to represent the United States in the International Sports Exchange Great Wall 5K run in China. Over the Christmas holiday, the U.S. team of runners from 18 states will be visiting Beijing and Shanghai. Each team member must raise two-thirds of the funds for the trip - $1,995. This fee includes air fare, hotel, meals, competition fees and transportation in mainland China. In return for a sponsorship, a video of the China trip and a sponsor T-shirt will be given to all who contribute $100 or more. For sponsors who give $200 or more, a USA team picture on a plaque will be added as a token of thanks.
