Catacombs of Terror will return to the Santa Clarita Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  Elks Lodge from 7:30 to 11 p.m. today and Saturday at 17766 Sierra Highway, Canyon Country. Admission is $4 per person and $2 for children under 42 inches tall. The spookfest was designed by parents and members of Boy Scout Troop 527. The catacombs comprise 11 rooms totaling 3,500 square feet, as well as a giant creature previously used in a John Carpenter movie. For information, call (805) 297-0572.

Haunted Trail III: Santa Clarita's oldest buildings set the stage for tonight's haunted walk from 6 to 9 at Heritage Junction, adjacent to Hart Park, 24151 San Fernando Road San Fernando Road is a major street in the city and county of Los Angeles. It starts off in Castaic as The Old Road, passing through Santa Clarita and the Newhall Pass, where upon its intersection with Sierra Highway near the junction of the Golden State (I-5) and the , Newhall. Tours will be led through the Old Newhall Ranch, where visitors will encounter a funeral, ghost mourners and wild animals WILD ANIMALS. Animals in a state of nature; animals ferae naturae. Vide Animals; Ferae naturae. . The skeleton of the old Saugus Train Station ticket agent will be one of the spooky guests along the tour. Admission is $5 per person. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The event is not recommended for children under 6. Tickets are available at the entrance. For information, call (805) 255-0855.

Trick or treat: The Granary Square merchants are inviting children to trick-or-treat from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at McBean Parkway and Arroyo Park Drive. Free photos and treats will be available. For information, call (805) 296-3408.

Dead entertainment: The Ghoul Vibes Band and students at Vibe Performing Arts Studios will present two shows at 7 and 9 p.m. Saturday at 23819 Bennington Drive, Valencia. For information, call (805) 255-7464.

A Safe and Sane Halloween will be offered from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Coldwell Banker Vista Realty, 24330 McBean Parkway, Valencia. The event is open to children 12 and under accompanied by adults.

The Hallelujah Hallelujah (hăl'əl`yə) or Alleluia (ăl–) [Heb.,=praise the Lord], joyful expression used in Hebrew worship; cf. Pss.  Festival will have a professional magician, free chili dogs, chips and drinks from 5:30 to 7:30 tonight at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 27265 Luther Drive, Canyon Country. Prizes will be given for the best decorated pumpkin and the best nonscary costume. (Those wearing scary costumes will not be admitted.) The donation is $1 per person or a food item for the Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672.  Food Pantry. Suggested items are canned fruit, meat, beans, peanut butter, macaroni macaroni: see pasta.  and cheese, bottled juices, baby food and diapers. For information, call (805) 250-1023.

Hillman's Halloween Haunting will offer a 900-square-foot maze, a mad surgeon, a haunted cemetery, a black-light room, a strobe-light room, a haunted mine shaft, vampires, fog, bats and the living dead, courtesy of the Santa Clarita Valley/Newhall Optimist Club. The event will run from 7 to 10 p.m. today and Saturday at 19215 Calla calla or calla lily: see arum.
